New “Laughter Festival” Fundraiser Event

“Laughter is the best medicine” is the inspiration with “Experience Joy” as the theme.

Family event with these major components:
• Laughter Yoga/Laughter Wellness 
• Standup and improv comedy
• Humorous music and sing-a-longs
• Funny plays, poetry, stories
• Open Mic sessions
• Three activity areas
• Jeffrey Briar will be performing “Music to make you laugh” and doing a Laughter Yoga workshop

Who is Jeffrey Briar?
• Mr. Briar is a world-renowned teacher of Therapeutic Laughter. 
• He is founder/director of The Laguna Beach Laughter Club
• Director of the The Laughter Yoga Institute in Laguna Beach
• In 2010 Briar was appointed a Master Trainer of Laughter Yoga by the creator of the technique, Dr. Madan Kataria. 
• As a Laughter Yoga champion, Briar appeared on CNN-TV with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and Dancing with the Stars.

Event proceeds go to the general fund and to support community outreach programs:
• Food, clothing, and school supplies drives for the disadvantaged in the community.
• Donations to local charities such as, Alternatives to Violence Project, Freedom to Choose, HomeShare SLO, Spokes, The Boys and Girls Club, and 5 Cities Homeless Coalition.
